UDP Transfer Acceleration Without The Hefty Price Tag
Aspera is an established name when it comes to Managed File Transfer software. Because Aspera is owned by IBM, it comes as no surprise to learn that it is a complicated piece of software, that takes time to configure and train people to use. It also brings a hefty price with it.
As an Aspera alternative, we are easier to get up and running, and easier on your wallet. There are some similarities between us and Aspera such as using UDP as the underlying technology to enable high speed transfers for big files, and cloud storage, but there are many criteria in which there are notable differences.
For a start we offer a free trial where you can easily jump in and send files straight away. If you send small files, then you may well not need our desktop based solution, so you can use our web tranfser solution based on TCP.
Government regulations and legislative measures are ever present challenges that enterprise businesses must adhere to. Both Filemail and Aspera offer the ability to comply with certain regulations, however, Filemail complies with more as seen in the table.
To use Aspera you will go through a complicated and expensive set of processes, and extensive tuning. You also need to take into account that each user needs to install an app on their device, and the additional configuration this entails. All of this times. With Filemail you can sign-up, and start securely sending files within minutes.
IBM is a well-known brand, with a plethora of software applications that interconnect in order to bring you into their ecosystem. Aspera, is just another cog in their machine. On the other hand, Filemail is a small and nimble team, who are highly responsive. When you work with us, you work with a solution focused on only one thing, compliant and secure managed file transfers.
Both Filemail and Aspera offer a feature-rich MFT enterprise package, which is compared side-by-side in the table below.
5 TB / User (More on request)
Aspera has limits of 60 TB transfer volume, and 60 TB data egress. Go above that, and you will be charged per GB. At Filemail we have no such limits, and no such charges.
Aspera pricing starts from $10’440. The final total, and the monthly running costs are unknown. We are transparent and upfront with our prices, with no hidden charges.
Aspera gives you 25 TB of storage space. If you go above that, you will be charged per GB as well. At Filemail we give each user 5 TB of space, with more on request.
The restrictive limitations and constant overage charges makes budgeting and accounting a tricky process. Enjoy a predictable monthly cost with Filemail.
Filemail is an amazing tool I use it to easily send video files weekly. Very quick and easy. I recommend this site for anyone needing to send large files.
Filemail is the easiest and fastest way to send large files. Some of my clients have been so impressed with Filemail when they have received my videos that they have started using it for their own businesses
I have to constantly share large photographic files and scans as part of the development of the Doo Dah Diaries. I find Filemail to be the simplest and most reliable to share such files.
